VOLUNTEERS

Volunteer participation is essential to our goal of providing humane treatment for the lost, abandoned and unwanted animals that find their way to our shelter. It is our goal to provide quality care for the animals until a suitable home is found for them. We need your help to provide all the animals with the appropriate attention and exercise they deserve. There are many opportunities for volunteers to work directly with the animals and staff.

Some of the more common volunteer positions are:

Dog Walker: Take dogs for walks, socialize with them, and see that they get some exercise to reduce stress and keep them healthy and ready for adoption.

Cat Socializer: Play with our adoptable cats and kittens.

Special Events: Assist with organizing and holding special events and fundraisers. Pet adopt-a-thons are very successful for finding homes for our animals and would not be possible without volunteer assistance.
